Financial Participation of Workers in CEE - Reccommendations and Prospects

The results of different forms of employee participation in enterprise have attracted considerable attention in the last decades in the EU and the share of companies offering share ownership or profit sharing to their employees is steadily growing.  In the USA and Japan is employee share ownership and profit sharing on even more substantial scale than the EU countries. This conference is an excellent opportunity for business and social partner organisations from old and new EU member states and candidate countries to learn more on this topic and to share ideas and best practices.

The benefits of employee financial involvement together with the need to introduce greater flexibility in employee remuneration have led many governments in the old EU member states to introduce supporting measure like a favorable tax treatment. The conference will focus on Western lessons that can be learned from CEE countries in the area of financial participation.
